Thousands of Cameras 1 Billion Images
... and Counting!
We explore how to use images to learn about the world around us. In particular we focus on
understanding changes in natural environments and how people use public spaces.
We work on fundamental research in camera geolocation,
camera registration to GIS data, and the automatic
annotation of events and objects in a scene.
The dataset enables empirical assessment of statistics for natural scenes captured from static cameras.
These statistics provide importance to surveillance algorithm and application development.
We encourage you to use AMOS, and want
the dataset to be a resource for researchers, students, and scientists. Please
view images from the cameras, and learn more about the dataset,
project participants, and publications.
